I met Carlos about 20 years ago in Hawaii and have remained in touch ever since. Though we’ve only seen each other a few times since then, I’ve always considered Carlos one of my closest friends. Once I was on a quick trip to NYC and we literally bumped into each other in Times Square. I wasn't even surprised, as if it was the most natural and expected thing to happen. We never missed speaking on our birthdays and the holidays. We made each other laugh. He spoke often and with great love about his family and other friends. Keeping you all now in my thoughts and prayers, and sending many, many hugs.
