Anne is a Co-Owner, President and CEO of Thorne's Mortuary, Inc. and is a Licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer. She is the wife of the general manager, Reverend John A. Thorne and an Evangelist as well. She was born in Jersey City, New Jersey to the parents of the late Timothy McGahee, Sr. and the late Nora Bell Anderson-McGahee. Of this union she is the oldest child of thirteen. Three of them preceded her in death, Norah Ann McGahee, Norman Theodore McGahee, and Joy McGahee Brown-Foster. Her remaining siblings are: Deborah McGahee-Jarrett, Bishop Timothy McGahee, Jr. (Blondie), Evangelist Carolyn "Cookie" McGahee-Adamson (Reverend Donald), Antonio "Tony" McGahee (Caroline), Vincent "Vinny" McGahee, Riccardo "Ricky" McGahee (Kelly), Kim McGahee-Caton (Jim), Alberta McGahee-Reid (Joseph) and Wendy McGahee-Jackson. She also has three older siblings, Collie Jean and Clarence McGahee and Cleveland "Sam" Bryant, Sr. (Pamela). Being a person who has been blessed with a wealth of talent, she knows and understands that, "To whom much is given, much is required." Some of her accomplishments and activities include: a member of the National Association of Professional Women; listed among Biltmore's Who's Who among Executives and Professionals; an Advisory Board member of the W.L. Philbrick School of Funeral Service Education at Miami Dade College, Miami, FL; an Associate in Science degree in Funeral Services from Miami Dade College (1994), a Bachelor of Religious Arts Degree in Biblical Counseling from Logos Christian College in Jacksonville, Florida (1998), and a Master of Arts Degree in Theology and Biblical Counseling and Doctorate in Theology and Biblical Counseling(2005); Anne is the First Lady and Women's Ministries President of the Wabasso Church of God- Wabasso, Florida ( 10 years); Ministries; Church of God Certified Girls Ministries Counselor, holds a Master Certificate in YLA / Joy Belles/ and Bluebelles Girl's Club, from the International Department of Women's Ministries; Florida State Convention Award of Merit (1984); COG Certificate in Evangelism and Home Missions (1984); past 1st Runner Up for the District Girls Club Directress of the Year (1984) for the then Martin District Church of God; past assistant District Women's Ministries President for the Martin District (under the late Mother Mary Rolle); former First Lady of the Stuart Church of God (8 years), and the Jupiter Church of God (14 years); Minister of Music, Psalmist; Choir Director; Credentialed Minister - Church of God; a former board member of Stuart Main Street; a board member of East Stuart Main Street; Owner of Creations By Anne which showcases her talents as a milliner; wedding consultant; florist and floral design; designer suits for men and women; ladies hats & accessories which are available for purchase at; CBA Publications which concerns itself with graphic design, printing funeral programs, wedding programs, all kinds of party and celebratory invitations, business cards, flyers, souvenir and conference booklets, and so much more. Anne graduated from Lincoln High School in Jersey City, New Jersey in the Class of 1969, with a College Preparatory Diploma. She attended St. Peter's College and Rutgers University in New Jersey; She is a graduate of Indian River Community College School of Practical Nursing in Fort Pierce, Florida (1980); a former employee of Martin Memorial Health Systems in Stuart, Florida. Having a passion for the field of geriatrics, she has worked at Salerno Bay Manor Nursing Home, Stuart Nursing and Restorative Care and the Terrace Nursing home in Hobe Sound (formerly Hobe Sound Manor; graduated from the W. L. School of Funeral Service Education in Miami, Florida in 1994 where she received the coveted Embalmer's Technician of the Year Award by a unanimous vote of the funeral service department professors; a former employee of Stone Brothers Funeral Home in Fort Pierce, Florida for about 13 years. The name Anne means, grace and favor. She is definitely walking in grace with the favor on God upon her life.
