On the early morning hours of October 19, 2020, all of heaven rejoiced as Effie Dianne Scott-Anderson made her triumphant entry into a place of rest. At 4:01am, while asleep in the comfort of home, surrounded by the love and care of her devoted family, she was informed by the Master that her work on earth was complete. She quickly and quietly departed this life.

She was born to the parents of the late Roman and Ida Belle (Walton) Scott, Sr. on October 10, 1944 in the Fort Lauderdale, FL.

Dianne matriculated through the Dade County School System. During her junior year, while attending Northwestern High School, zoning requirements due to segregation required her to be transferred to the Broward County School System. She attended Crispus Attucks High School in Dania Beach, Florida where she graduated in 1962. Upon graduation, Dianne attended Cortez Peters School of Business in Washington, DC where attained an AA degree.

She was employed as a librarian and retired from the Martin County Library as manager of the Hobe Sound branch. She was an avid reader and began her career as driver of the bookmobile for the Martin County Library System. In the local section of the Palm Beach Post (November 22, 2004), she was referred to as, "the smiling face behind the wheels of the mobile library", which had no branches at that time. She held the record of having the longest career in the library system and retired after 37 years of dedicated employment.

Dianne was a faithful servant at the Port Salerno Church of God where she served in many capacities such as the Nursery Sunday school teacher, Usher, Assistant Secretary (Over 40 years), Choir Member, Chief Decorator of Church for all occasions, CE Board Member, President of the Senior Ministry, Finance Committee Member, Youth Board Member, Vacation Bible School Arts and Crafts Director, Original Costume Creator and Seamstress, Annual Fundraiser Band Leader, Wall of Faith Participant, YLA /Joy Bell Coordinator and numerous other positions that did not have an official title.

She was preceded in death by her beloved parents Roman Scott Sr, Ida Bell Scott. Siblings Roman Scott Jr, Eve Scott, Shirley Scott, and Ida Louise Scott, father and mother in law, Reverend Jesse H. Anderson, Sr. and Alberta Porter Anderson; sisters-in-law, Nora Belle Anderson-McGahee (Timothy Sr.), Marie Anderson Kendell (Robert Sr.); brothers-in-law, James Duncombe and Jimmy Anderson.

She leaves behind to mourn her passing as her homegoing is celebrated; a loving husband, Jesse H. Anderson, Jr.; devoted children, Ramona T. Anderson, Tia Anderson-Brown and Jesse H. Anderson, III (Georgina); 6 adorable grandchildren, Jamar Spencer, Jailyn Brown, Joel Brown, III, Deshawn Anderson, Janessa Anderson and Leiah Anderson, all of Stuart, FL; 4 beloved canine grand-puppies, Petey, Onyx, Indigo and Leirha; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, neighbors, church family and friends who will miss her dearly.
