Obituary for Winifred Davis Charles

Winifred Davis Charles, 49 of Indiantown, FL, was peacefully summoned to rest at Martin Memorial Health Systems-South in Stuart, FL. She was born to he parents of the late Nathaniel Davis Sr. and the late Lura Mae Davis in Pahokee, FL. In 1970 she moved to Indiantown, FL with her family. Winifred was educated in the public schools of Palm Beach County and Martin County. She graduated from Martin County High School in the Class of 1982 and completed two years of college. She was a member of the Pahokee Church of God and served on the Women's Conference Committee. Winifred worked at a doctor's office in medical billing. "Winnie", as she was affectionately known, was very kind and fun-loving. She was always pleasant and displayed an effervescent personality. To know her was to love her. Survivors include: her husband, Jean Charles of Stuart, FL; a precious daughter, who was the apple of her eye, Dymond Simone Charles of Indiantown; 3 sisters, Alzaida Jones (Jonathan) of Douglas, GA, Clara "Tasha" Murvin (Bernard) of Indiantown, FL and Sabrina Green (Mark) of Royal Palm Beach, FL; 2 brothers, Phaion Davis of Indiantown, FL and Nathaniel Davis Jr. (Tachia) of Orlando, FL; nieces, nephews, cousins, neighbors, church family and friends who will certainly miss her. Services: Visitation to be announced. A homegoing celebration will be held on Saturday, August 2, 2014, at the Pahokee Church of God with the pastor, Bishop Bud Mickins officiating. She will await the resurrection at Port Mayaca Memorial Gardens in Canal Point, FL. Arrangements have been entrusted into the care of Thorne's Mortuary.
