Obituary for Willie Terry Dennison Sr.

Willie Terry Dennison,Sr., 33 of Port St. Lucie, FL, peacefully departed this life on Thursday, June 28, 2012 at the VA Medical Center in West Palm Beach, FL. He was born in Port St. Lucie, FL on May 31, 1979. He was educated in the public schools of Dade County, FL and graduated from Homestead Senior High School. Willie served in the United States Army from January 14, 1998 - December 20, 2003 and received an honorable discharge. He was a food service specialist for 5 years and 7 months. Willie was a member of New Allen Temple A.M.E. Church in Hobe Sound, FL and was employed as a restaurant chef. He was preceded in death by his father, Willie Teddy Dennison; grandparents, Willie Lee Dennison, Annie Ruth Dennison, Joan Allen,and Vernal Booker; a brother, Jeffery Duane Booker; 2 uncles, William T. Preston and Jess W. Preston; and a cousin Derrick Preston. Survivors include: his wife, Latreesha Lynette Dennison of Port St. Lucie, FL; 2 sons, Willie Terry Dennison, Jr. of Anderson, IN and Quinterrious Dennison of Port St. Lucie, FL; a daughter, Uatazma White Dennison of Port St. Lucie, FL; his parents, Mildred and Vernal Booker of Port St. Lucie, FL; a brother, Lucus J. Dennison of Port St. Lucie, FL; 3 sisters, Aurleandra Preston of Stuart, FL, Danielle Booker of Port St. Lucie, FL and Erika Still of Pittsburg, PA; mother and father-in-law, Dwight and Reba Thomas of Louisiana; grandparents, Ella Mae Preston of Hobe Sound, FL, Ernestine Booker of Pitsburgh, PA and Paul Allen of South Carolina; a special friend, Travis Evans of Miami, FL; aunts, Ella D. Cooper (Harold), Donese Kendell (Robert), Angela Preston, Celestine Coleman (Alphonso), Willalene Cooper (Lt. Col Derick), Jacqueline Cameron and Connie Dennison; uncles, Mahurley Preston (June), Al Preston, Stanley Preston (Toni), Benjamin Booker, Carlos Booker and Andre' Booker; nieces, Taniya, Jayleena, Taylor and Savannah; 6 great-aunts and 5 great-uncles; 2 brothers-in-law, Marco White and Kevin White; and a host of cousins, other relatives and friends. Services: Visitation will be held on Friday, July 6, 2012 from 5pm-7pm at New Allen Temple A.M.E. Church in Hobe Sound, FL. A homegoing service will be held on Saturday, July 7, 2012 at the church, 11am. Burial will follow at Banner Lake Cemetery in Hobe Sound along with full military honors and dove release.
