Mr. Willie Davis, 75 of Tampa, FL passed away at St. Joseph Hospital in Tampa, FL. He was born in Jensen Beach, FL to the parents of the late Milton Sherman and the late Hilda Solomon Davis. Willie was educated in the public school system of Martin County and in 1960 he relocated to Tampa, FL. He was a member of First Baptist Church of College Hill in Tampa and while visiting his family in Stuart, FL he attended At. Paul A.M.E. Church in Stuart throughout the years. Willie was employed with the Tampa Tribune in Tampa as a truck driver for several years then retired from Bush Gardens in Tampa as a construction worker. Along with his parents he was also preceded in death by three sisters, Carol Lott, Anita Green and Joanne Morris and two brothers, Ronnie Davis and Marvin Davis, Sr. Survivors include: a loving and devoted wife of 27 years, Mary "Mae Lois" Davis; two daughters, Regina Campbell and Denise George all of Tampa, FL; 6 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren of Tampa, FL; three sisters, Norma Jean Davis (Reverend Vernon Davis), Florine Jones (Johnnie), and Nancy Annette Cleare, all of Stuart, FL; four brothers, Edwin Solomon, Jimmy Davis (Mary), Dennis Davis and Bruce Davis (Denice), all of Stuart, FL; four sisters-in-law, Ernestine (Bishop Stanley) Smith, Brenda (Ronnie) Reid, Linda Bell Denson and Debra (Sam) Sirmans, all of Tampa, FL; two brothers-in-law, Ulice Smith and Ronald (Angie) of Tampa, FL; one great aunt, Ruth Coleman of Stuart, FL; one god-daughter, Annette Hall of Stuart, FL; and a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Services: Visitation will be held on Friday, June 17, 2016 at Thorne's Mortuary Chapel. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, June 18, 2016 at 10am, St. Paul A.M.E. Church in Stuart, FL. Burial will follow at Washington Cemetery in Jensen Beach, FL. Arrangements are incomplete and have been entrusted into the care of Thorne's Mortuary in Stuart.
