Obituary for Vivien Dolores Dekle-Allen Mother

On June 13, 2010, heaven rejoiced as Mother Vivien Dolores Dekle-Allen arrived at 12:34am. This beautiful transition was made from West Volusia Hospice Care Center in Orange City, FL. She was born in Long Branch, NJ to the parentage of the late Freddie Lee Dekle and Georgia Mae Johnson-Dekle. This bright-eyed bubbly bundle of joy was truly a special gift from God. She attended the public schools of Monmouth County, NJ and also received an associate's degree from Brookdale Community College. She graduated from Monmouth Bible Institute in Howell, NJ as the Valedictorian and Secretary in the Class of 1994. Mother Allen retired after she was employed for over 15 years as a court house clerk - Family Courts Division, Monmouth County in Freehold, N.J. She relocated to Volusia County, FL 3 years ago moving from Kennesaw, GA and was a member of Tabernacle of Praise Church of God in Deland, FL. There she served faithfully as a church mother. She also worshipped at the Wabasso Church of God in Wabasso, when she visited her sister, Evangelist Alma Miller. She was preceded in death by her father, and a brother, Carlton Matthew Deckle. Survivors include: her husband, John Allen; 2 caring sons, Johnathan Allen (Latoya) of Dover, DE and Christopher Allen of Lithonia GA; a loving daughter, Vivian Charlise Wright (Brian) of Deltona, FL; her loving mother, Georgia Mae Dekle of Long Branch, NJ; 2 devoted brothers, Freddie Lee Dekle, Jr. of Freehold, NJ and Clifford Dekle of Newark, NJ; 4 devoted sisters, Mattie Pace of Long Branch, NJ, Alma Miller (Glenn) of Sebastian, FL, Christine Doyle of Asbury Park, NJ and Sharon Spencer of Willingboro, NJ; 13 caring grandchildren, Jasalle, Johnathan II, Jessica, Jaquan, Jabria, Sierra, Tyandra, Rayne, Maya, Christopher and Donovan Allen, Brianna, Joshua and Rebecca Wright; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends and church family members who will miss her tremendously. Services: Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 19, 2010 from 11am-12noon at Greater Refuge Church of Our Lord, 316 South Adelle Avenue in Deland, FL 32720. A Homegoing Celebration will begin at noon. Burial will follow at Oakdale Cemetery in Deland, FL. Arrangements have been entrusted into the care of Thorne's Mortuary in Stuart, FL.
