Obituary for Vera Mae Wilson

Mother Vera Mae Wilson, 80 years old of Port St. Lucie, FL and a former longtime resident of Indiantown, FL went home to be with the Lord on May 19, 2016 at JFK Hospital in Atlantis, FL. She was born in Stuart, FL to the parents of the late Jimmy Lee Webster and the late Marie T. Pierce Jackson. Mother Webster attended the public schools of Martin County and graduated from Stuart, Training School. During her lifetime she was employed a homemaker. Because of her natural motherly and nurturing expertise, she not only saw to the care of her own children, but other children of the Indiantown community as well. Along with her parents, Mother Vera Mae Wilson was also preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd Wilson, Sr.; 4 sons, Johnny Wilson, Jimmy Webster, David L. Wilson and Lloyd Wilson, Jr.; a daughter, Marie Glenn, granddaughter, Shimel McIntyre and a goddaughter, Shelia Sinclair. She leaves behind to treasure her loving memory; 5 daughters, Edna Mae Webster, Leatha Brinson and Patricia Webster, all of Port St. Lucie, FL, Viola Wilson of Palm City, FL and LaShonda Smith (Eugene) of Indiantown, FL; 3 sons, Leroy Wilson and Anthony Wilson (Lora) both of Riviera Beach, FL and Pastor Jack Wilson, Sr. (Wydeea)of Indiantown, FL; 2 daughters-in-law, Dorothy Wilson of Indiantown, FL and Carolyn Wilson; 2 godsons, Reverend Henry Portee (Sharon) of West Palm Beach, FL and David Portee of Indiantown, FL; a goddaughter, Stacey Levell (James) of Indiantown, FL; a special sister-in-law, Marie W. Dunbar of Augusta, GA; 34 grandchildren and 46 great-grandchildren who will miss her dearly. Services: Visitation will be held on Friday, May 27, 2016 from 5pm-7pm at Evergreen First Missionary Baptist Church in Indiantown, FL. A homegoing celebration will be held on Saturday, May 28, 2016, 11am at the church with her son, Pastor Jack Wilson, officiating. She will await the resurrection at Port Mayaca Cemetery in Canal Point, FL.
