Obituary for Thomas Albert Stubbs

Mr. Thomas Albert Stubbs, 75 of South Caicos, British West Indies, died on Thursday, July 5, 2007. He was born to Thomas and Nancy Stubbs on July 25, 1931 in Providenciales. He was a pioneer member of Calvary Baptist Church and served faithfully as a Deacon, Sunday School Teacher and enthusiastic Bible Scholar. Mr. Stubbs was the owner of Hillside Grocery & Variety Goods Store for over 25yrs. in South Caicos. He was married to Sharon Lightbourne Stubbs for 49yrs. This union was blessed with five children. Mr. Stubbs was preceded in death by his parents, wife and two children. His survivors include: children, Albert Stubbs of Providenciales; Cecelia Levy of Chicago, IL and Delphina Anderson (Anthony, "Tony") of Port Salerno, FL; grandchildren, Bancroft Levy, Dario Stubbs, Ashley Stubbs and Selina Hodogby; siblings, Louise Williamson of Providenciales, Lillian Stubbs (Emmanuel) of Freeport, Grand Bahama, Annarena Henfield (Dennis) of Nassau, Stanley Stubbs of Providenciales and John C. Stubbs (Ruth) of Port Salerno, FL; brother-and sisters-in-law, Eliza Stubbs and Olive Spencer (Alexander) of Freeport, Grand Bahama, Lois Clare, Inez Ellis and Hazelyn Joseph all of Providenciales; a host of nieces, nephews, godchildren, many other relatives, church family and friends. A Homegoing Celebration will take place on Saturday, July 14, 2007, 11am at Calvary Baptist Church, South Caicos, Turks & Caicos Islands, British West Indies.
