Obituary for Thelma L. Mack Mother

Mother Thelma L. Mack, 88 a long time resident of Port Salerno, FL, went home to be with the Lord at Salerno Bay Manor in Stuart, FL (Port Salerno). 
MotherThelma L. Mack was born on May 19, 1929 in Shellmound, MS to the late Corrine Stanley Henderson and Jennings Henderson. She was the mother of two sons that she adored, Clinton Alton Mack, from Marietta, GA and Donald Jerome Mack from Stuart, FL. Affectionately known as “Lil Sister”, by her family and “Mom MacK” by her Church family. She was a member of the Church of God by Faith in Stuart, FL for over 50 years, serving faithfully under the leadership of 3 mighty men of valor; Elder David Lewis, Sr. (Annie), Elder William Robinson (Burnetta, deceased) and Elder Garrick Lewis (Belinda). During her tenure, she served as the President of the Missionary Department  until her health failed and was also a valuable member of the Mother’s Board. Mom Mack retired from Harverty’s Furniture after many years of dedicated service.  Her achievements in life were numerous, but she will be remembered as a woman of God who loved and will be loved, even beyond the grave. On Monday, June 26, 2017, at 9:05am, Mother Thelma L. Mack transition from her earthly home to her heavenly home.  Along with her parents she was also preceded in death by a sister, Marguerite and brothers, Johnson, Willie, Senior, Wilson, and Frank. She is survived by; 2 Sons, Clinton Alton Mack of Marietta GA and Donald Jerome Mack from Stuart, FL. 2 granddaughters, Eloise Delancy from Stuart Florida, 3 great-grand children; a brother, Jessie Henderson of Greenwood, MS, 1 godson, Edward Lewis  (Sandra) of Fort Walton Beach, FL; surrogate children, Pastor Garrick and Belinda Lewis; a very close friend, Mother Annie Flourney; her Love Temple Church of God by Faith Family and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins that loved her dearly. Services:  Visitation to be held on Friday, June 30, 2017 at Love Temple COGBF in Stuart, FL, from 5pm-7pm.  A home going celebration will be held on Saturday, July 1, 2017 at 10am at the church with the pastor Elder Garrick Lewis officiating. She will await the resurrection at New Monrovia Cemetery in Port Salerno, FL. Survivor information to follow. Arrangements have been entrusted into the care of Thorne's Mortuary in Stuart, FL.
