Tawana Ivory, 34 of Stuart, FL and formerly of Indiantown, FL passed away. She was born in Stuart, FL to the late Jimmy Lee Ivory and Bertha Mike-Aikens. She was educated in the Martin County School System and was employed at Crystal Lake Elementary School. Tawana was a member of Evergreen First Baptist Church in Indiantown, FL. Survivors include: 2 sons, Savonte Bryant and Omar Sawyer of Indiantown, FL; 1 daughter, Nikita C. Martin of Stuart, FL; her mother, Bertha Aikens of Stuart, FL; 5 brothers, Leo (Jamie) Delions of West Palm Beach, FL, Antthyen (Deonna) Ivory, and Omar (Tabitha) Ivory of Stuart, FL, Jimmy Lee (Vernal) Ivory Jr. of West Palm Beach, FL and Kerry (Van) Ivory of Stuart, FL; 5 sisters, Tammi (George) Ivory of Stuart, FL, Lisa Ivory of Lakeland, FL, twin sisters in Jamaica and Deonna Simms of Stuart, FL; and a host of other relatives including, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends icluding special friends, Herbert Palmer and Tyrone Saywyer. Services: Visitation will be held on Friday, September 9, 2011, from 6pm-7pm at Thorne's Mortuary Chapel in Stuart. A celebration of life will begin 7pm at the chapel.
