Obituary for Sim Scott Jr.

Sim Scott, Jr., 71 a resident of Jupiter, FL died at his residence surrounded by the love of his family. He was born in Walker Springs, AL to the parents of the late Sim Scott, Sr. and Elizabeth Rivers Scott. Mr. Scott was employed by The Town of Palm Beach for many years and after moving to Jupiter he was employed with The Loxahatchee River Environmental Control District for over two decades and retired in the year 2000, as Director of Maintenance. He founded Scott's Bobcat Service in 2007 and was a long time member of the Road Burners Motorcycle Club of West Palm Beach, FL. Along with his parents, Mr. Scott was also preceded in death by two brothers, J.B. and Johnnie Scott and a great-grandaughter, Miscaya K. Scott. Survivors include: a devoted son, Edward Scott (Rhonda "Lynn") of West Palm Beach, FL; a loving daughter, Gardenia Scott of Lake Worth, FL; five brothers, Rufus Scott (Louise) and Henry Scott of Walker Springs, AL, Gilbert Scott (Viola) of West Palm Beach, FL, Billie Scott (Ethel) and Willie Scott (Gloria) of Riviera Beach, FL; five sisters, Dessie Lewis of Stuart, FL, Allean Jenkins of Port Salerno, FL, Katie Carter of Riviera Beach, FL, Bessie Ingraham of West Palm Beach, FL, Mattie Brown (Benjamin) of Mt. Pleasant, SC and Mary Pritchett (Theodore)of Walker Springs, AL; 3 caring grandchildren, U'Teron Scott of Jupiter, Matthew L. Scott of Riviera Beach and Cornesha T. Scott of Jupiter; aunt, Luberta Rivers of Riviera Beach, FL; and extended family, the entire Holland and Brown Family; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins. other relatives and friends. Services: Visitation at the Jupiter Church of God on Friday, April 10, 2009 from 5pm-8pm. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, April 11, 2009, 11:00am at the church. Burial will follow at Mount Carmel Memorial Park Cemetery in Jupiter. Thorne's Mortuary, Inc. of Stuart is in charge.
