Sarah Jane Davis, 58 of Stuart, FL passed away at Martin Memorial Medical Center in Stuart. She was born in Stuart to the parents of Calvin Davis and Mary Louise Hines, then raised by her grandmother, Sarah Jane Lundy. Sarah was educated in the public schools of Martin County, FL and graduated from Martin County High School in the Class of 1971. She was a member of Mount Calvary Missionary Baptist Church in Stuart and was a domestic worker. She also worked at Gainey's Restaurant. Sarah was preceded in death by her parents, Calvin Davis and Mary Louise Hines and her grandmother, Sarah Jane Lundy. Survivors include: 2 sons, Tremayne Myers (Shana) and Frank Paul Brown, Jr. of Stuart, FL; 3 daughters, Valencia Pearson (James) of Vero Beach, FL, Tonya Myers and Nekessa Myers Shanks of Stuart, FL; 2 brothers, Cedric Sweeting of Seattle, WA, and Demetrius Rolle (Aretha) of McDonough, GA; 3 sisters, Mary Preston (Grover) of Ft. Pierce, FL, Fredricka McKnight (Willie) of Orlando, FL and Terri West of Poughkeepsie, NY; 19 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild; the father of her children, Leroy Myers of Stuart, FL; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Services: Visitatin will be held on Friday, April 15, 2011 at Thorne's Mortuary Chapel from 4pm-7pm. A Celebration of life will be held on Saturday, April 16, 2011 - 3:00pm at the chapel with Reverend Elker Harris officiating. Arrangements are by Thorne's Mortuary. Please sign the guest book.
