Obituary for Samuel Curtis "Tony" Simmons III

Samuel Curtis Simmons, III 48 of Stuart, FL died in Orlando, FL. He was born in Stuart to the late Samuel Curtis Simmons, II and the late Mary Odessa Roberson. "Tony", as he was known to family and friends, attended the public schools of Martin County and Martin County High School. He served in the United States Army and was honorably discharged on June 12, 1979. Along with his parents, he was also preceded in death by grandparents, Harry and Mary Mosley, Samuel C. Simmons, Sr. and Bernice Simmons. Survivors include: a daughter, Shondeeka Days of Syracuse, NY; 2 sisters, Crystal Pressey of Lauderhill, FL and Lolita Wilson (Percy) of Stuart; a brother, Ronald L. Simmons, Sr. (Tara) of Stuart; like a brother, Donald Jerome Mack (Janice) of Stuart; one grandson, Tashonn Blatche of Syracuse, NY; nieces & nephews, Keith, Shannon, Jeremy, Ronald, Jr., Daesha, Crystal, Jamaul and Dawawn; cousins other relatives and friends. Services: Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 7, 2009 from 9am-11:00am at Thorne's Mortuary Chapel in Stuart. A service of memory will begin at 11:00 am with Pastor Paul A. Roberts, officiating at the chapel. Burial with military honors will be at Fernhill Memorial Gardens & Mausoleum in Stuart. Thorne's Mortuary, Inc. is in charge of arrangements.
