Obituary for Ruby Lee Noble Pettway

Mrs. Ruby Lee Noble-Pettway, 68, of Hobe Sound, FL went home to be with the Lord on April 19, 2012 at Treasure Coast Hospice (Hay Madeira House), in Stuart, FL. She was born in Monticello, FL to the parents of Shelley Noble and Queen Seabrooks-Noble. Ruby was educated in the public schools of Jefferson County, FL. She moved to Hobe Sound in 1965 from Monticello, FL. "Ruby Lee" graduated from Indian River Community College (now Indian River State College, and earned an A.A. degree then continued her education at Florida Agriculture Mechanical University and earned a B.S. degree in childhood education. She was formerly a teacher for the Martin County, Palm Beach County and Orange County School Districts. Ruby was a member of New Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church in Hobe Sound, FL. She was preceded in death by her parents, Shelley and Queen Noble. Survivors include: her husband, Samuel Pettway of Hobe Sound, FL; 2 daughters, Janice Faye Parks of Hobe Sound, FL and Samantha Denise Pettway, of Monticello, FL; one grandson, Afonzo Donta' Wilson of Hobe Sound, FL; five brothers, Albert Noble of Madison, FL, Shelly Noble, William Noble, Robert Noble of Orlando, FL and George Noble of Perry, FL; three sisters, Mary Noble of Orlando, FL, Carrie Noble of Monticello, FL and Bernice Noble of Fort PIerce, FL; one uncle and a host of nieces, nephews, sisters and brothers-in-law, cousins and friends. Services: Visitation will be held at Thorne's Mortuary Chapel in Stuart from 6pm-8pm on Friday, April 27, 2012. A celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, April 28, 2012 at 11:00am, New Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church in Hobe Sound, FL with Reverend David George pastor/presiding and Reverend Paul A. Roberts, officiating. Burial will follow at Banner Lake Cemetery in Hobe Sound. Arrangements are have been entrusted into the care of Thorne's Mortuary in Stuart, FL. Please sign the guest registry.
