Robert Leivett Delanri Robinson, Sr., 68 formerly of Gifford, FL, went home to be with the Lord at Kindred Hospital-Melbourne, FL. At his passing he was a resident of Fort Pierce, FL. He was born in Portsmouth, VA to the late Mary Ann White. Robert served in the United States Army during the Vietnam Crisis and completed his high school education. He received an honorable discharge. Robert also studied to be a paramedic. He was employed as a truck driver for the citrus industry and was a faithful member of the Wabasso Church of God. There he was one of the church van drivers for transportation department. Along with his mother, he was also preceded in death by his grandmother (who raised him), Rebecca White and an aunt, Alberta Sawyer. Surviving to cherish his precious memories are: his son, Robert L. Robinson, Jr.; a loving friend, Gloria Tucker, both of Fort Pierce, FL; 2 grandchildren, Rah'Necia Robinson and Courtney Waithe, of Fort Pierce, FL; 2 brothers, Frentress White of Norfolk, VA and Dondrill White of West Virginia; 5 sisters, Shiann Baines of Greensville, SC, Angelina White, Annette White, Barbara White and Janet Dixon (Dominic) all of Virginia; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and church family who will miss him dearly. Services: A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, December 19, 2015 - 11am, at the Wabasso Church of God with his pastor, Bishop John A. Thorne, officiating. Burial to follow at the Gifford Cemetery in Gifford, FL. Arrangements have been entrusted into the care of Thorne's Mortuary in Stuart, FL.
