Riccardo Herman McGahee Sr., a resident of Port St. Lucie, FL and formerly of Port Salerno, FL, went home to be with the Lord at his residence, on Thursday, October 24, 2019.
He was born to the parents of the late Timothy McGahee, Sr. and the late Nora Bell Anderson-McGahee in Jersey City, New Jersey, on September 16, 1961. He attended elementary school in Hudson County and after the untimely death of his father on December 29, 1970, he moved to Port Salerno, FL with his mother and eleven other siblings.
After moving to Florida, he completed his elementary education in the public schools of Martin County and graduated from Martin County High School in the Class of 1981.  He also attended Indian River Community College (now known as Indian River State College) in Fort Pierce, FL.
Affectionately known by  his family and friends, as "Ricky", he will always be remembered as a loving and caring individual, who loved life, his family and people and sports.
Ricky was formerly employed by Pratt and Whitney, the St. Lucie County School Board, worked as a truck driver for Armellini Express Lines, he was a sports umpire and referee.  He was an avid fan of the Dallas Cowboys and the Oakland Raiders.  He loved to sing, cook and thoroughly enjoyed eating at family gatherings. He was very sociable and fun to be around.  From the time that Ricky was born, he was a very handsome and happy baby, full of joy and laughter.
He was of the Protestant/Pentecostal faith and a member of the Port Salerno Church of God where he worshipped, until declining health prevented him from doing so.
Along with his parents, Timothy McGahee Sr. and Nora Bell Anderson-McGahee, he was also preceded in death by : his paternal grandparents , Cephas and Annie Mae Brown-McGahee; his maternal grandparents , Bishop Jesse H. Anderson, Sr. and Mother Alberta Porter Anderson; 2 sisters , Norah Ann "Nokie" McGahee and Joy Delores McGahee Brown-Foster and a brother, Norman Theodore McGahee; a nephew , Maxwell Simeon Micah James Caton; mother-in-law, Mary McIntyre, and a host of other relatives, including aunts, uncles and cousins .
Remaining behind to mourn his passing as well as celebrate his homegoing are : a loving and devoted wife , Kelli Pittman-McGahee of Port St. Lucie, FL; 2 caring sons , Riccardo H. McGahee, Jr. of Port St. Lucie, FL and Terrance Moses of Hobe Sound, FL; 5 loving daughters , Deanna McGahee of Madison, FL, Ashley McGahee-Jeune (Marc-Doffy) of Port St. Lucie, FL, Chelsea Barr of Jacksonville, FL and Janiyha Chambliss of Port St. Lucie, FL;  5 loving brothers , Cleveland S. Bryant, Sr. (Pam) of Stuart, FL Bishop Timothy McGahee, Jr. (Blondie) of Orlando, FL, Antonio Benjamin McGahee (Caroline) of Fort Lauderdale, FL, Vincent Oliver McGahee of Fort Pierce, FL and Clarence McGahee of Miami, FL; 7 devoted sisters, Reverend Anne Yvonne McGahee-Thorne (Bishop John A. Thorne) of Stuart, FL, Deborah Ann McGahee-Jarrett of Stuart, FL, Carolyn Denise McGahee-Adamson (Reverend Donald J. Adamson, Sr.) of Stuart, FL, Kim Laverne McGahee-Caton (Jim) of Gainesville, FL, Alberta Wiona  McGahee-Reid (Joseph) of Norfolk, Virginia, Reverend Wendy Lasette McGahee of Stuart, FL and Collie Jean McGahee of Wrens, GA; several grandchildren, Deandra Stevenson, Deondra Bruton and Javis McGahee, Ahmad Moses, Arianna Moses, Terrell Moses, Tyleria Moses and Terrance Moses, Jr; father-in-law, James McIntyre, Sr. of Port St. Lucie, FL; brothers-in-law , Darius Thurston and James McIntyre, Jr. both of West Palm Beach, FL; sister-in-law , Kimberli Harrington (Stephen) of West Palm Beach, FL; his canine friend , Zoo; and a host of other family members including aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and a plethora of loving friends who will certainly miss his mild manner, fun-loving, caring and endearing personality.
Arrangements have been entrusted into the care of Thorne's Mortuary in Stuart, FL, his family's funeral home.
