Obituary for Rhonda Lee "Ra" Haston

Ms. Rhonda Lee "RA" Haston, 51 of Hobe Sound, FL passed away in the quietness of her home on August 22, 2014. She was born in Stuart, FL to the parents of Johnson O'Neal and Aneatha Haston-Dames. Her primary education was completed in the public schools of Martin County. He attended Martin County High School and Sun Coast High School in West Palm Beach. She joined New Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church in Hobe Sound and later married Walter Brown, Sr. Rhonda was well-known by many as "RA" ands "Lil Honey (after her loving grandmother " Honey" Haston). She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Barney and Lillie Haston, Lofton and Fannie O'Neal; 2 brothers, Gregory and Anthony Haston. Here loving survivors include: her husband, Walter Brown, Sr.; 3 sons, Quinton (Ciara) Haston of Hobe Sound, FL, Walter Brown, Jr. of Port St. Lucie, FL, and Torrell Brown (Ola) of Port Salerno, FL; a daughter, Chakeela Bethel of Hobe Sound, FL; her father, Johnson O'Neal of West Palm Beach, FL; her mother, Aneatha Dames of Hobe Sound, FL; 4 grandchildren, Kiyonna Brown, Nigel Walton, Quinton Haston, Jr. and Londyn Brown, all of Hobe Sound, FL; 5 sisters, Debra ands Darlene Haston of Hobe Sound, FL, Kathleen Washington of Stuart, FL, Debra ands Marja O'Neal of West Palm Beach, FL; 2 stepsisters, Lutrell Davis ands Doris Houston; 2 brothers, Johnson and Willie O'Neal of West Palm Beach, FL; 4 stepbrothers, William, Keith Rooney and Quinton Dames; mother-in-law, Delia Brown of Hobe Sound, FL; 3 sisters-in-law, Janet, Terranda and Harriett Brown, all of Hobe Sound, FL; 3 brothers-in-law, Gardener White of Atlanta, GA, Simmie Brown and Minister Kinser (Wallesia) Brown of Hobe Sound, FL; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends including her special friends, Debbie Pettway Haston, Rose Jones, Jackie Avilla and Ida Caballero. Services: Visitation will be held on Friday, August 29, 2014 from 4-7pm at New Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Hobe Sound, FL. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, August 30, 2014, 2pm at First United Methodist Church 10100 SE Federal Hwy in Hobe Sound, FL. Burial will follow at Banner Lake Cemetery in Hobe Sound, FL. Arrangements have been entrusted into the care of Thorne's Mortuary in Stuart, FL.
