Obituary for Pearl Lee Thomas-Andrews

Ms. Pearl Lee Thomas-Andrews, 64 of Okeechobee, FL went home to be with the Lord at Okeechobee Health Care Facility on Thursday, March 19, 2015. She was born in Okeechobee, FL to the late Dave Thomas and the late Annie Williams-Thomas on November 19, 1950. Pearl was educated in the public schools of Okeechobee County. During her lifetime she was employed as a juvenile counselor. She was a member of First Missionary Baptist Church in Okeechobee where she served faithfully as a member of the Senior Choir and a former member of the Red Hatters League. She will be remembered by those who knew her as a loving, kind and giving individual. Along with her parents, Pearl was also preceded in death by: her husband, Joseph Andrews, Sr.; a son, Joseph Andrews, Jr.; brothers, Willie H. Thomas, James E. Thomas, Tome E. Files; a sister, Audrey Ann Thomas; and stepfather, Charlie Craddle. Left behind to cherish her precious memories are: a son, Telly Andrews of Riviera Beach, FL; a brother, Dave Thomas, Jr. (Mary) of Okeechobee, FL; and sisters, Mary L. Wright, Miose Joiner (Marvin), and Verna Alderman (Carlton) all of Okeechobee, FL, and Tammy Files (Gary) of Griffin, GA; seven grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. Services: Visitation will be held Friday March 27,2015 from 5-7pm at First Missionary Baptist Church in Okeechobee, FL. A home going celebration will be held at 1:00pm on Saturday, March 28, 2015, at First Missionary Baptist Church in Okeechobee, FL. She will await the resurrection at Evergreen Cemetery in Okeechobee. Arrangements have been entrusted into the care of Thorne's Mortuary.
