Sister Ollie Ruth Hill, 83, of Fort Pierce, FL went home to be with the Lord on Palm Sunday, March 20, 2016. She was born in Allentown, GA on August 7, 1932 to the parentage of the late Johnny and the late Daisy Miller. Ollie was educated in the public schools of Laurens and Wilkerson County Georgia. Ollie was married to the late Edward "Junior" Hill in 1950 in Dublin, GA. To this union 7 children were born After she and her family moved to Fort Pierce, FL, she and her husband started the Ed Hill Plastering Company. They work together in that field for 29 years. Ollie also held employment in other areas namely: The Fort Pierce Canning Company, Easter Manor Nursing Home, the Saffeirt family and the Minton family. She accepted Christ at an early age. She was a member of Greater Mt. Pleasant Primitive Baptist Church in Fort Pierce, FL for over 50 years. Ollie served her church in several capacities including: President of the #1 Usher Board, the Pastor's Aid Board, Choir, and Sunday school. She will be remembered by her family and those who knew her well as a woman of great faith, wisdom and patience. Along with her parents, Johnny and Daisy Miller, she was also preceded in death by: her husband, Edward Hill, Jr., daughter, Cleo Burnett and sons, James Edward Hill and Jay Roy Hill. Surviving to mourn her passing and celebrate her homegoing are: her children, Samuel Eugene Hill of Fort Lauderdale, FL, Climmie Lee Hill (Bonnie) of Fort Pierce, FL, Eddie Mae Allen (Ruben) of Valrico, FL, Leon Wilson Hill, of Orlando, FL and Curtis Jermaine Hill (Rhonda) of Fort Pierce, FL; a god-son, LeCedric Stovall (Nekia) of Fort Pierce, FL; a niece, Gwendolyn Beard of Dublin, GA; and a host of grand- children and great-grandchildren; cousins and friends including special friends, Janie Taylor, Annie Moore, Mary Hammond, Michael, Misty, Shirelle, Xan amd Michele Minton. Services: Visitation will be held on Friday, March 25, 2016, from 5pm-7pm at Mt. Pleasant Primitive Baptist Church, 2100 Avenue K, Fort Pierce, FL. A homegoing celebration will be held on Saturday, March 26, 2016-11am at the Church will the4 pastor, Elder Charles Hendley Officiating and Elder Jason Hendley presiding. She will await the resurrection at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Fort Pierce, FL. Arrangements have been entrusted into the care of Thorne's Mortuary in Stuart, FL.
