Obituary for Nealie Bell Williams

Nealie Bell Williams , 84 of Stuart, FL went home to be with the Lord in the peace and quiet of her home, surrounded by the love and tears of her devoted family at 8:31am on December 21, 2016. She was born in Perry, FL to the parentage of the late Emmanuel Rogers, Sr. and the late Lizzy Hill on January 20, 1932 and was the last surviving child. Nealie attended the public schools of Taylor County, FL and moved to Martin County in 1956 from Thomasville, GA. She was married to James Williams and was employed as the secretary for their lawn maintenance business. Nealie was a member of Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church in Stuart, under the leadership of the late Reverend Henry Lewis, were she served faithfully as a member of the choir, Home Missions, President of Mission #1, the church cook and secretary. She was a former member of the Heroines of Jericho and OES. Later she became a member of the Pentecostal Church of God in Christ in Stuart, under the leadership of Reverend Jerry Gore and was one of the church mothers. Along with her parents, Mother Nealie Bell Williams was also preceded in death by: a son, Wilbert Lee Rogers, a daughter, Linda Joanne Grant; her sisters, Viella Williams, Elsie Smith, Christine Rogers, Doretha Crane, Robertha Rogers, and Bernice Ross; her brothers, Emmanuel Rogers, Jimmy Lee Rogers, Kenny Rogers, Otis Rogers and William Rogers. She is lovingly survived by: her husband , James Williams of Stuart, FL; a son , Bobby Earl Rogers (Joy) of Tampa, FL; 5 daughters , Deloris Rattray (Roy) of Port St. Lucie, FL, Evang. Carolyn Brown (Rev. Josiah Brown, Sr.) of Stuart, FL, Georganne Morris (Luther) of Port St. Lucie, FL, Sandra Williams of Stuart, FL and Tina Williams of Port St. Lucie, FL; like a son , James Furlow of Stuart, FL and Jerry O'Brien of West Palm Beach,FL; 2 brothers-in-law, Lonnie Williams of Fort Pierce, FL and Jerome Williams of St. Mary's, GA; caregivers who were like daughters , Zada Clark of Daytona Beach, FL and Kaliliah Gary of Stuart, FL; godchildren , April Lee of Jacksonville, FL and LaClassia Gamble of Fort Pierce, FL; 17 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, neighbors, church family and friends who will miss her kind heart and giving spirit. Services : Visitation will be held at the Love Temple Church of God by Faith, 505 SE Florida St., Stuart, FL, from 10am-11am on Saturday, December 31, 2016.  A homegoing celebration will begin 11am at the church with her nephew, Bishop Isaac Manning, Sr. officiating and Elder Garrick L. Lewis, Sr. host pastor/presiding. She will await the resurrection at Fernhill Memorial Gardens, Stuart, FL. Arrangements have been entrusted into the care of Thorne's Mortuary in Stuart.
