Obituary for Mother Mary Ann Wobbleton (Battle)

Mother Mary Ann (Battle) Wobbleton 86, a longtime resident of Stuart, Florida made her heavenly transition from this earthly life on Saturday February 25, 2023, at her residence surrounded by her loving family.

She was born the only girl to the late John Battle and the late Mary Glover-Battle in Blountstown, FL. She received her basic education in the public schools of Calhoun County, FL.

In 1973, she moved to Martin County, FL with her husband and children. While residing in Stuart, FL she cared deeply for her family and was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and godmother.

There are so many wonderful things that could be said about this woman of God, but a few accolades will be highlighted in the memorial folders that are being prepared for her homegoing celebration and after that, they will be published on this website.

Mother Mary Ann Wobbleton, as she was affectionately known in the churches that she has faithfully attended, and at her transition she worshipped at Life Christian Fellowship in Jensen Beach, FL.

She was preceded in death by, her dearly beloved husband, Deacon Ernest Wobbleton; devoted parents, John and Mary Battle; children, Willie James Wobbleton, John "Dusty" Wobbleton. Reverend Mance Wobbleton, Sr., and Mack Wobbleton; 3 brothers, Willie Battle, Johnnie Battle (Jeldrine), Ulysses Battle (Royal), Eugene Battle and David Battle and three grandchildren, Mance Wobbleton, Jr, Sharon Wobbleton and Lester Peterson, Jr.

Mother Wobbleton is lovingly survived by, a loving only son, Reverend Johnny Wobbleton (Evangelist Robin) of Stuart, FL; 4 devoted daughters, Zettie Wobbleton of Port Salerno, FL, Peggy Peterson (Elder Fred), Dolly Weaver (David) and Odessa Wobbleton, all of Stuart, FL; 3 caring brothers, Herbert Battle (Eliza deceased) and Nathaniel Battle (Bessie Louise deceased). both of Blountstown, FL and Bradley Battle of Lake Placid, FL; 2 adopted sons, Carl Thorne of Tallahassee, FL and Bishop John A. Thorne (Anne) of Stuart, FL; a devoted sister-in-law, Annie Ruth Graham (Sylvester); devoted friend, Ruth Fuller (Richard); 15 loving grandchildren, Claudius Wobbleton, Portia Clark (Ronald), Stephanie Bleam (Michael), Tangela Wobbleton Campbell, (Sean), Bria Arrington (Jason), Kai Wobbleton, Matthew Wobbleton, Donna Bell, Janae Bell, Jamin Ford, Vanessa Peterson, Fred Peterson, Jr., (Vivica), Cortina Wobbleton, Devey Fate, Ernest Fate; 27 loving great-grandchildren, Justin Clark, Jalen Clark, Darius Mathis, Adolphus Mathis, Kiara Bleam, Macey Campbell, Christian Campbell, Morgan Campbell, Colby Campbell, Jeremiah Wobbleton, Zion Wobbleton, Brylee Arrington, Brooklyn Arrington, Jason Arrington III, Uri Wobbleton, Tyanna Bell, Johnny Bell-Harris, Ace Leonard, Asai Leonard, Jamia Baez-Ford, Jacoya Wobbleton, David Wobbleton-Wells, Keontaye Lloyd, Kayceon Fate, A-ryan Matlock, Brielle Fate, Ayla Cox and Sir Harold Cox; godchildren, Joshua Delancy, Myron Weaver, Kimberly Jackson, Flora Gonzalez and Tiffany Pearson; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who will miss her dearly.
