Obituary for Mother Alice Jane Thompson-Gilpin

Mother Alice Gilpin, 82 of Fort Pierce, FL and formerly of Indiantown, FL went home to be with the Lord at Cleveland Clinic-Martin Memorial Hospital/South in Stuart, FL on July 3, 2021.

She was born in Pahokee, FL to he parentage of the late Henry George Thompson and the late Sadie Young. She attended the schools of Palm Beach County and graduated from Pahokee High School.

During her life time, she worked as a domestic worker for private homes, a day care teacher and lastly as a dietician for Pratt Whitney Aerospace.

Mother Alice Gilpin was a Christian and was a member of Thompson Temple COGIC. She loved to sing and praise God because as she would say, "All of the glory and the honor belongs to Him." Her favorite songs were, "What's My Purpose?, and The Only Real Hope That I Have Is In You Lord, Jesus."

Along with her parents, she was also preceded in death by: her children, 2 sons, Leon Doctor, and Juan Rios; her sisters, Rovena Thompson; brothers, Cyril Thompson, Eziekial Thompson and Harold Thompson;

She leaves behind to cherish precious memories: 3 daughters, Patricia Collymore of Indiantown, FL, Bernice Parker of Americus, GA, and Daneta Robinson-MCPherson (Derrick) of Port St. Lucie, FL; 2 sons, Calvin Santos (Debra) of Americus, GA and Sherman Santos ( of Fort Pierce), FL; brothers, Alfred Thompson of Pahokee, FL, Aaron Bell (Sylvia) of Lantana, FL, Thomas Thompson, Calvin Thompson, and David John Thompson (Shannon), all of Indiantown, FL; sisters, Melba Pizzaro, Patricia Thompson, and Phyllis Thompson, all of Indiantown, FL; 10 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who will miss her dearly.

Arrangements have been entrusted into the care of Thorne's Mortuary in Stuart, FL.
