Obituary for Moses Nathaniel Johnson Jr. Elder

Elder Moses Nathaniel Johnson, Jr., 63, a resident of Port Salerno, FL and pastor of Trinity Truth and Christian Center in Palm City, FL departed this life on Saturday, August 08, 2015. In the peace and comfort of his home, surrounded by the love and tears of a devoted family, Moses triumphantly made his departure. He was born in Stuart, FL to the parents of the late Moses Nathaniel Johnson, Sr. and the late Alice Mable Rahming-Johnson. Moses was educated in the public schools of Martin County and attended Martin County High School. He was the owner of Johnson and Johnson Landscaping for over 30 years. Moses was a former member of the Pentecostal Church of God in Christ in Port Salerno, FL where he served faithfully as an Elder, Executive Board Member, Assistant Pastor, Sunday School Superintendent and State Sunday School Superintendent. He was also a member of various horticultural and agricultural organizations. Along with his parents, he was also preceded in death by: uncles, George, Gerald and Wilford Rahming. Remaining behind to forever cherish his loving memories are: a devoted wife, Jannett Johnson of Port Salerno, FL; 2 sons, Moses L. Johnson, Sr. and wife, Dione'Shia of Port St. Lucie, FL, Thomas L. Johnson and wife, Nina of Port Salerno, FL; 3 daughters, Tuwanna Y. Hatcher and husband, Tyrone of Port Salerno, FL, Shalanda P. Sneed and husband Timothy of Live Oak, FL, Sheila D. Huntley and husband, Claude of Port Salerno, FL; 5 brothers, Moses N. Johnson and wife, Rose of Monterey, TN, Joseph N. Johnson, Elder George G. Johnson, Sr. and wife Coraletha both of Port Salerno, FL, Howard G. Johnson and wife, Dorothy of Port St. Lucie, FL, James E. Johnson and wife, Marsha of Stuart, FL; 3 sisters, Catherine A. Washington and husband Tony, Prudence Lenear and husband, Willie, both of Port St. Lucie, FL, Ida L. Queen and husband, Harold of Stuart, FL; 19 grandchildren; godchildren, Tracy Davis, Ashley Wilcox, Jessica Dotson, Quatia Queen and James Dotson; and a host of other relatives including nieces, nephews, cousins, neighbors, church family and friends who will miss him dearly. Services: Visitation will be held on Friday, August 14, 2015 from 5pm-7pm at the Port Salerno Church of God. A homegoing celebration will be held on Saturday, August 15, 2015-1:00pm at the church, with his wife, Minister Jannett Johnson as eulogist and his brother, Elder George G. Johnson, presiding. Bishop Glenford Hutchinson is host/pastor. He will await the resurrection at Fernhill Memorial Gardens in Stuart, FL. Elder Moses Nathaniel Johnson, Jr. has ceased from his labor and is now resting in the presence of the Lord! Arrangements have been entrusted into the care of Thorne's Mortuary in Stuart, FL.
