Mr. Morris Eugene Clayton, Sr. 69 of Ocala, FL passed away in West Palm Beach, FL. He was born in Andersonville, GA and had lived in West Palm Beach for 28 years before moving to Ocala where he lived for 4 years. Mr. Clayton was employed as a truck driver for a construction company before his retirement. Survivors include: a loving wife, Audrey Roschell Gibson Clayton of Ocala, FL; daughters, Margalene (Larry) Anderson of West Palm Beach, FL, Marsha (Jerome) Anderson of Tampa, FL, Marlene (Michael) Chambers of West Palm Beach, FL, Joann Gibson of Orlando, FL, Joyce Gibson and Lisa Gibson of WPB, FL and Kim (Theodore) Darling of Riviera Beach, FL; sons, Morris Eugene Clayton, Jr. of Tampa, FL, John (Gail) Gibson of WPB, FL, Willie (Cathy) Davis of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, and Kimble Davis of Riviera Beach, FL; mother of his children, Artela Sapp of West Palm Beach, FL; 42 grandchildren, and 52 great-grandchildren; sisters, Emma M. Edge of Springfield, MA, Mary Edge McGee, Emma G. Fuller, Betty J. Wingard, Trudie M. Edge, and Alberta E.(John) Walker, all of West Palm Beach, FL, and Janis (George) Gaines of Lantana, FL; brothers, James Edge Jr.(Ida), and Dorsey Edge (Daisy) of Detroit, MI, Dallas Edge, Wetumpka, AL, Amos L. Edge (Mattie) of Montgomery, AL, and Harvey Edge (Mickey) of Americus, GA, Gilbert Edge (Elouise) of Riviera Beach, FL, Wilbert Edge (Rose) and Johnny Edge (Angela) of West Palm Beach, FL and a host of other relatives including, brothers and sisters-in-law, Mary E. He was preceded in death by his parents, James Wash Edge, Sr. and Annie Mae Clayton-Edge; 2 sisters, Jannie M. Tatum and Mattie P. Edge; and 3 brothers, Charles W. Edge , Henry Willie Edge and Artie L. Edge. Services: Visitation will be held on Friday, August 5, 2011 from 3pm-6pm at The Original Tabernacle of Prayer in Riviera Beach, FL. A homegoing celebration will be held on Saturday, August 6, 2011 at 10am at Tabernacle Missionary Baptist Church - 801 8th Street, West Palm Beach, FL. Burial and dove release will follow at Royal Palm Memorial Gardens, West Palm Beach. Arrangements have been entrusted into the care of Thorne's Mortuary in Stuart, FL. Please sign the guest registry.
