Obituary for Mida Loveta Ennis

Sis. Mida Loveta Ennis, 68 of Port St. Lucie, FL went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, May 9, 2017 at Lawnwood Regional Medical Center in Fort Pierce, FL.  She was born in Alps Trelawny, Jamaica on April 10, 1949 to the parents of the late Jacob Ennis and the late Vida Mason Ennis. Mida was educated in the schools of Jamaica.  She was a home maker and a U.S. resident for over 20 years and lived with her aunt and uncle, Ethlem and Albert Brown in Port St. Lucie. Mida was a very sweet, soft spoken and giving individual who loved the Lord.  She was a member of the Port St. Lucie Worship Center where she served faithfully as an Usher, a member of Sweet Success, the Choir, Nursing Home Ministry and Women's Ministry. Remaining behind to mourn her passing as well as celebrate her homegoing are: 3 loving daughters, Marjorie Nelson of New Haven, CT, Dionne McFarland of Alps Trelawny, JA and Lorella Nelson of Athens, GA; 2 caring sons, Lloyd Ennis of Alps Trelawny, JA and Wakeland Ennis (Doreth) of Bronx, NY; 2 loving grandchildren and 3 adorable great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives including nieces, nephews, cousins and friends in Jamaica, and the United States. Services:  Florida services have been entrusted into the care of Thorne's Mortuary in Stuart, FL.  Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 3, 2017 from 1:00pm-1:30pm at the Port St. Lucie Worship Center, 6501 NW St. James Drive.  A homegoing celebration will begin 1:30pm at the Worship Center with the pastor Bishop Gerald Green officiating.  She will await the resurrection in the Family Plot in Alps Trelawny, Jamaica WI after and additional service.  Out of town arrangements are by Delapenha's Funeral Parlour, St. Ann's, Jamaica.
