Obituary for Mary Alice Mixson

Our beloved Mother Mary Alice Edwards-Mixson, of Port St. Lucie, FL (and formerly of Indiantown and Okeechobee FL) , went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, August 17, 2021, at Cleveland Clinic-Tradition Hospital in Port St. Lucie, FL.

She was born to the parents of the late Rayfield Edwards and the late Queen Ester Walker-Edwards on July 8, 1954 in Valdosta, GA.

She was the wife of Pastor Johnnie Mixson, Sr. and First Lady of The Church of the Living God in Fort Pierce, FL.

Mother Mixson is survived by: a devoted husband, Pastor Johnnie Mixson, Sr. of Port St. Lucie, FL, 3 caring sons, Johnny Mixson, Jr. of Fort Pierce, FL, Pastor Bob Mixson of Fort Myers, FL and Don Mixson (Davina) of Port St. Lucie, FL; 2 loving daughters, Belinda A. Sherman of Hobe Sound, FL and Michelle E. Mixson of Port St. Lucie, FL; 13 beautiful grandchildren, Shineace Jones, Horriese Mixson, Don Mixson Jr., Donisha Mixon,
Lalonda Mixson, Faith Mixson, Bob Mixson, Jr., Kadejaha Mixson, Ja'Quez Mixson, Jazmine Mixson, Jerome Johnson, Oneisha Brown and Dashawn B. Lamb; 1 great-grandchild; 2 brothers, Lorenzo Edwards (Debbie) of Port Salerno, FL and Rayfield Edwards, Jr. of Stuart, FL; 1 sister, Tanisea Edwards of Stuart, FL; (and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other extended family members and friends who will miss her dearly.
