Mr. Marvin Lewis Davis,Sr., 57, of Stuart, FL died at Martin Memorial Hospital-North in Stuart. He was born in Stuart, to the parents of Milton Sherman Davis and Hilda Solomon Davis. Marvin attended the public schools of Martin County including Martin County High School. He attended St. Paul A.M.E. Church and was self-employed in landscaping. He was preceded in death by his father, Milton Sherman Davis; a grandmother, Amanda Cash; 3 sisters, Carol Lott, Anita Green and Joanne E. Morris; and a brother, Ronnie Davis. Survivors include: 2 caring sons, Marvin Lewis Davis, Jr. (Melinda)and Ralph C. Davis of Fort Pierce, FL; a caring daughter, Vaneicca Bailey (Willie) of Albany, GA; a loving mother, Hilda Solomon Davis of Stuart, FL; 3 devoted sisters, Norma Jean Davis (Reverend Vernon Davis), Florine Jones (Johnnie) and Nancy Annette Cleare, all of Stuart, FL; 5 devoted brothers, Edwin Solomon of Stuart, FL, Willie Davis (Mary "Mae Lois") of Tampa, FL, Jimmie Davis (Mary), Dennis Davis and Bruce Davis (Denice), all of Stuart, FL; 6 adorable grandchildren; a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Services: Visitation will be held on Friday, September 17, 2010 from 4pm-7pm at Thorne's Mortuary Chapel in Stuart. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, September 18, 2010 at 3:00pm, St. Paul A.M.E. Church in Stuart, FL with the pastor, Reverend James C. Watson, Jr. officiating.
