Obituary for Marilyn Esther Wells

Marilyn Esther Wells, 60 of Port St. Lucie, FL went home to be with the Lord at St. Lucie Medical Center in Port St. Lucie. She was born in Marabella San Fernando, Trinidad West Indies. Marilyn was educated in the public schools of Trinidad and moved to Port St. Lucie from Hollywood, FL 10 years ago. She graduated from the Indian River State College School of Practical Nursing in 2006 and was employed as a private duty nurse. She was a member of New Testament Faith Center in Port St. Lucie. There she served on the usher board and was also its secretary. She was extremely talented and creative. Marilyn was very loving and giving and gave unselfishly of herself, her time and whatever the Lord blessed her with to share with others around her. She was preceded in death by her parents Boysie and Isabella Khan; her son, Brenton Wells and her daughter, Kizzy Natalie Abba Wells. She is survived by: her husband, Bede Anthony Wells of Trinidad; a loving daughter, Marguia Mary Wells of Port St. Lucie; a stepson, Jamal Wells of Queens, NY; 4 adorable grandchildren that she was rearing as her own, Ezra REno, Joshua Wright, Isaiah Wright and Audra Axley, all of Port St. Lucie; 4 brothers, Winston Khan, Glenroy Khan and Amin Khan (Geraldine), all of Brooklyn, NY and Boysie Khan, Jr. (Alustra) of Trinidad; 2 sisters, Glenrose Alleyne (Abram) of Queens, NY and Annabelle Cumberbatch of Hollywood, FL; brothers-in-law, Michael Cumberbatch, Grantley Wells (Joan) and Sadiq Al-Razie (Peggie) of Trinidad, Randolph Wells (Alice) of Philadelphia, PA; sisters-in-law, Judy Manwaring (Tony) of England, Sallian Gomez (Tony) of Washington, DC and Kathleen Mohammed (Lennos) of Glenside, PA; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends in Trinidad and the United States that will miss her dearly. Services: Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 21, 2010 from 9am-10am at New Testament Faith Center in Port St. Lucie. A home going celebration will begin at 10am with the pastor, Bishop Cornelius Blake, officiating. Burial will follow at Rolling Oaks Cemetery in Port St. Lucie.
