Obituary for Marian Louise Howard

Marian Louise Howard, 79 of Miami, FL died at Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami. She was born in Jensen Beach, FL to the parents of the late Charles Delancey and the late Alma Gray Delancey. In the early 1950's she moved to Miami. Marian accepted Christ at an early age. She was a member of True Gospel Church under the leadership of the late Reverend C.L. Gaskin and after his demise, Pastor John Ivey. She was a faithful member of Usher Board #1, and retired from the Miami-Dade County Public School System after 35 years of loyal service (as a cafeteria worker). Along with her parents, she was also preceded in death by a brother, Warren Delancey and a sister, Lydia Belvin. Surviving to cherish her precious memories are: two children, Averil and Ricardo Delancey of Miami, FL; six brothers, Clarence N. Delancey of Jensen Beach, FL, Ronald N. Delancey of Oxton Hill, MD, Richard B. Delancey of Jensen Beach, FL, Robert Delancey of Port St. Lucie, FL, Clyde Delancey of Jensen Beach, FL, and Shervin Delancey of Jensen Beach, FL; one sister, L. Victoria Singleton of Jensen Beach, FL; 2 grandchildren, Lydell R. and Kellen R.; 1 great-grandchild, Lydell Jr. and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Services: A "Celebration of Life" was held on Saturday, August 1, 2009 at 1:00p.m., Grace and Truth Outreach Ministries in Miami, FL. Burial will be held on Monday, August 3, 2009 at 3:30 p.m. at Washington Memorial Cemetery in Jensen Beach, FL.
