On November 11, 1956, a beautiful baby girl was born to the parents of Willie Young, Sr. and Maxine Long in Davisboro, Georgia. They named this bundle of joy, Marcia Elaine. After moving to Martin County with her family she attended the public schools of Martin County. She also graduated from Martin County High School and Indian River State College. Marcia was employed at the Martin County Property Appraiser’s Office in Stuart, Florida for 26 years. She genuinely loved her family and would do anything she could for them when called upon to do so. She would literally, “give you the shirt off of her back.” Marcia will always be remembered by those who knew her best as loving and kind. When her health began to fail, it didn’t stop her from helping others even though she may have needed help herself. She leaves behind to cherish her precious memories: a caring son who loved her very much , Lashawn Finley; a loving and devoted mother , Maxine Long, both of Stuart, Florida; 1 grandson , Izayah Finley of North Carolina; 2 brothers , Willie Young, Jr. of Davisboro, Georgia and Mack Junior Young of Fort Pierce, Florida; 2 sisters , Barbara Reid of Fort Pierce, Florida and Mozella Williams of Stuart, Florida; godchildren , Tami Ivory and Jermaine Ivory (Kayven) of Stuart, Florida, Betty Joe Queen of Fort Pierce, Florida and Clarence Queen of Tampa, Florida; 6 aunts , Deborah Langston and Alene Thompson of Stuart, Florida, Mary Josey of Fort Pierce, Florida, Diane Robinson of Lake Worth, Florida, Henrietta Taylor of Miami, Florida and Clara Hall of Tallahassee, Florida; 1 uncle Kelly Ray Washington of Stuart, Florida; and a host of sorrowing family including nieces, nephews, cousins and friends whom she loved.
