Mamie Lee Stone Brown, 74 of Stuart, FL died at Palm City Nursing and Rehab Center in Palm City, FL. She was born in Port Salerno, FL on November 18, 1934 to the parents of the late John Thomas and the late Julia Mitchell Stone. Mamie attended the public schools of Martin County, FL and was of the Baptist faith. She was a former employee of Dunkin Donuts in West Palm Beach, FL. Along with her parents, Ms. Brown was preceded in death by her husband, Sam Brown, Jr.; 2 sisters, Bloneva Stone McColister and Mildred Stone Rolle; and a brother, John Wade Stone. Survivors include: 2 sons, Gerald Stone of Stuart, FL and Johnny Wade Brown of Orlando; 2 brothers, Henry Thomas Stone of McRae, GA and Jeromy Alexander Stone (Grace Mae) of Stuart, FL; grandchildern and great-grandchildren; a host of other relatives and friends. Services: Visitation will be held on Friday, February 20, 2009 from 5:30pm-7:30p.m. "A Celebration of Life", will be held on Friday, February 20, 2009 at Thorne's Mortuary Chapel, with Bishop John A. Thorne, officiating, beginning at 7:30pm. Cremation will follow. Thorne's Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
