Mother Mae Nella Davis, 92 of Wabasso, FL went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, October 23, 2018.  She was born in Gordon, AL to the parents of the late Malachi Weems and the late Viatrice Neal Weems on January 29, 1926. She moved to Wabasso from Alabama in 1945.  Mother Davis was employed during her lifetime as a certified nurse's assistant.  She was a member of the Wabasso Church of God where she served as a former Usher,  Sunday School member, Teacher for Family Training Hour, a cook for church functions and in other capacities where needed. Along with her parents, Malachi and Viatrice Weems, Mother Davis was also preceded in death by her husband; 2 sisters, Rosetta Davis and Annie Flowers; 2 brothers-in-law, J.C. Davis and William Flowers; a grandson, Derrick Davis. She is lovingly survived by an only son , Willie Clarence Davis (Bhriller) of Gifford, FL; 3 grandsons , Lee Davis of Wabasso, FL, Willie Dixon of Shrewsbury, MA and Khalil Davis of Gifford, FL; 3 granddaughters , Candie Richardson (Earl) of Sebastian, FL, Mimi Russ and Sheena Cummings both of Gifford, FL;  8 great-grandchildren ; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, church family and friends who will miss her dearly. Services:  Visitation will be held on Friday, November 2, 2018 from 5pm-7pm at the Wabasso Church of God, 8710 64th Avenue in Wabasso, FL  32760.  A homegoing celebration will be held on Saturday, November 3, 2018 at 1:00 pm at the church with her pastor, Bishop John A. Thorne, officiating.  She will await the resurrection at West Wabasso Cemetery in Wabasso, FL. Arrangements have been entrusted into the care of Thorne's Mortuary in Stuart, FL.
