Obituary for Louise Wright Thompson

Louise W. Thompson, 90 and a long time resident of Stuart, FL went home to be with the Lord on October 20, 2011 in Boston, Massachusetts. She was born in Allston, Georgia to the late Richard and Lonnie Bell(Waldon)Wright. She was educated in the public schools of Montgomery County, Georgia. Ms. Thompson moved to Stuart from Georgia in 1938 where she resided for the majority of her life. Due to failing health she moved to Massachusetts to be cared for by her daughter, Edna. She was a member of Mount Calvary Missionary Baptist Church in Stuart. Before retirement she owned and operated Thompson's Taxi for many years. She was preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Lonnie Bell (Waldon)Wright; her husband, Homer L. Thompson, Sr.; 4 sisters, Lonnie Bell Hall, Daisy Scott, Mary Mattox and Lillian Rogers; 3 brothers, Frank Wright, Richard Wright and John Wright. She leaves behind to mourn her passing and celebrate her homegoing: 2 sons, Homer Thompson,II and his wife, Thelma and E. Timothy Thompson and his wife, Ophelia of Stuart, FL; and 2 daughters, Edna Hall of Mattapan, MA and Julia Deloris Henry of Dorchester, MA; and a host of grandchildren other relatives and friends. Services: Visitation will be held on Friday, October 28, 2011 from 4pm-6pm at Thorne's Mortuary Chapel in Stuart. A homegoing celebration will be held on Saturday, October 29, 2011 at 11:00am at Mount Calvary Missionary Baptist Church in Stuart with the pastor, Reverend Elker Harris officiating. Burial will follow at Monterey Moore's Cemetery in Stuart, FL. Arrangements have been entrusted into the care of Thorne's Mortuary in Stuart, FL and Davis Funeral Home in Boston, MA.
