Louise McGahee, 92 of Coconut Grove, FL went home to be with the Lord on February 25, 2015 at Miami Jewish Health Systems. She was born in Jasper, FL to the parents of the late Manuel and Minnie Holmes. During her lifetime she was a homemaker, and excellent cook who loving cared for her husband, children and grandchildren. As a matter of fact, she loved and adored her entire family, always having positive encouragement for them, coupled with her love, hugs, and kisses. She was of the Pentecostal faith. Along with her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Willis A. McGahee, Sr.; and daughters, Helen Butler, Ellen Saunders and Cynthia McGahee. She is lovingly survived by: 2 daughters, Annie McGahee Smith of Miramar, FL and Andrea McGahee Watkins of Coconut Grove, FL; 4 sons, Willis A. McGahee, Jr. of Miami, FL, Bernard McGahee, Ronald McGahee and Rodney McGahee, all of Coconut Grove, FL; a brother, Edward Holmes of Pembroke Pines, FL; a sister, Carolyn McCray of Miami,FL; 22 grands,42 great-grands and still counting; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, neighbors, church family and friends who will miss her dearly. Services: Visitation will be held on Friday, March 6, 2015 from 4:30pm-7pm at Mount Olive Baptist Church, 6316 SW 59th Place, South Miami, FL 33143. Flowers may be delivered at the church anytime after 3pm-7pm. A homegoing celebration will be held at the church on Saturday, March 7, 2015 at 11am. She will await the resurrection at Dade North Memorial Park in Miami, FL. Her family, Thorne's Mortuary in Stuart, FL has been entrusted with her care. (772) 223-0900
