Obituary for Louisa Anita Bobb

Louisa Anita Bobb was born April 4th 1929 to Elimus and Caroline Bobb in the beautiful Island of Grenada, West Indies. The family migrated to the twin Island of Trinidad and Tobago when Louisa was still a baby. She received her elementary education at Siparia Elementary School. Louisa was an entrepreneur who owned her own business as a self taught professional dress maker/seamstress.

Louisa migrated to Cincinnati, Ohio USA in 1971 to take care of her mother's estate after her mother's passing. She then moved to Brooklyn, New York where she live and worked for the Village Nursing Home as a nursing assistant for 15 years. After that, she relocated to Port St. Lucie, Florida in 1986. She continued to work as a certified nursing assistant for 14 more years, before retiring in 2001, while still enjoying her passion of dressmaking for her grandchildren.

Louisa, or as she was affectionately called “Lou, Mother, Tee, and Tanty”, was a hard working loving, caring, thoughtful, dedicated woman who was always willing to go the extra mile for her family friends and anyone she met along the way, who may have needed a helping hand.

Lou was a faithful and active member of New Testament Faith Center under the Leadership of Bishop L .W. Freckelton. She served in the Gold and Silver Ministry, the Senior Choir, and Monday Morning Prayer Ministry. She loved crafting of any description and also loved to read and do the puzzle suduko but her favorite pastime passion was playing cards with her family and friends, listening to any genre of music, but of course her favorite was calypso and soca. She loved to dance and enjoyed a good time.

Lou was loved by many and her legacy will live on in her children: Everald Bobb (Gloria), Esther Dennis (Lloyd), Janet Olivierre (Conrad), Janice Gittens (Vernon) and Everest Alexander, ( Lorraine).

Her grandchildren, Sheldon (Vanessa), Leticia, Stefan, Quincy, Rodney, Jody, Sheira, Veja (Marshal), Zena, Tricia (Auston, deceased) Tonya, Tahirah (Carlos), Vernon Jr., Ishmel and Jade.

19 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews and other family members.

Louisa was preceded in death by her parents Elimus and Caroline Bobb; sisters, Mary Lodi and Cynthia John; brother, Francis Gregory and son, Errol Bobb.

Special mention to: Gloria Hall, niece ( more like a daughter), Annette Arrindell, (more like a daughter), Inez Gregory (sister-in-law), Sidney Williams, Lenora Joseph, Cynthia Henry and many others.
