Lloyd Jackson, 73 of Stuart, FL passed away at Martin Memorial Medical Center-North in Stuart. He was born in Stuart, FL to the parents of the late Foston Gilbert and Sadie Jackson. Lloyd was educated in the public schools of Martin County, FL and was employed before he retired as an automobile detailer. Mr. Jackson was a member of St. Paul A.M.E. Church in Stuart. He was preceded in death by his father, Foston Gilbert and leaves behind to cherish precious memories: his devoted wife, Edith Jackson of Stuart, FL; lovings sons, Warren Eugene Jackson of Milledgeville, GA, Lloyd Edward Jackson, Jr. of Stuart, FL and Terrell Jackson (Cynthia) of Indiantown, FL; loving daughters, Joyce Tensley (Michael) of Columbia, SC, Valerie Bethel (George), Wanda Jones (David), LaSonya Scott (Walter), and Marsha Johnson (James), all of Stuart, FL; his mother, Sadie Jackson of Stuart, FL; a sister, Jewel Clark of Port St. Lucie, FL; a brother, Leon Taylor; 16 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren; special daughter-in-law, Ernestine Jackson; adopted daughter-in-law, Evelyn Timmons; sister-in-law, Aline Jackson; special cousin, Harold Jackson (Altamaese); a friend, Felix Cesaire; and a host of other relatives including, nieces, nephews, cousins, church family and friends. Services: Visitation will be held on Friday, February 24, 2012 from 4pm-7pm at Thorne's Mortuary in Stuart. A homegoing celebration will be held on Saturday, February 25, 2012, 11:am at St. Paul A.M.E. Church in Stuart with the pastor Reverend James C. Watson, Jr. officiating.
