Obituary for Lisa Ernestine Willis

Lisa Ernestine Willis, 45 of Pahokee, FL passed away at Hospice of Palm Beach County in West Palm Beach, FL. Lisa was born in Brooklyn, NY to the parents of the late Reverend Robert Edward, Willis, Sr. and Ida Mae Fitts-Willis. As an infant she moved to Florida with her family where she attended the public schools of Martin County including South Fork High School and later in life moved to Pahokee, FL. She worked in various capacities in agriculture and was also a foreman. Along with her father the Reverend Robert Edward Willis, Sr., she was also preceded in death by her companion, Robert Burgess, Sr. Survivors include: 2 sons, Carlesrer Shaka Willis of Indiantown, FL and Sterling Cedrin Willis of West Palm Beach, FL; 6 daughters, Latoya Nashay Willis, Sereeta Renee Willis, and Jaquanda Iesha Willis, all of West Palm Beach, FL, Jackquline Lashay Smith, all of West Palm Beach FL and 2 daughters raised as her own, Patrice Shennell Hunt and Mickerria Scafe of West Palm Beach, FL; her mother, Ida Mae Willis of Indiantown, FL; 3 brothers, Robert Edward Willis, Jr. and Terrence Ladell Willis, Sr., both of Indiantown, FL, and Carl Demetrius Willis (Muriel) of Pahokee, FL; 1 sister, Renee Willis of Indiantown, FL; 13 grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Services: Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 8, 2011 from 2:30pm until 4pm at Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church in Indiantown, FL. A clelbration of life will begin at 4pm with Reverend Jack Wilson officiating and Rev. George Palmer is pastor. Arrangements are by Thorne's Mortuary. Please sign the guest registry.
