Linda Parks-Hooks, 73, was born to the parents of the late Simon T. Parks, Sr., and the late, Laura Parks in Concord, GA. She accepted Christ as her personal Savior at an early age and became a member of Victory Outreach Church in Atlanta, GA. Linda was united in holy matrimony to Leonard Hooks on December 23, 1991, and to this blessed union 9 children were born. "Lin" as she was affectionately known, was employed by Doug and Becky Gooding to care for their children for 18 years (before she retired). Aside from her employment, she also enjoyed fishing, music, going to the beach, and taking selfies. On September 22, 2016,she peacefully departed this life at Northside Hospital in Atlanta, GA. Along with her parents, Linda was also preceded in death by: her siblings, 3 sisters, Floretta, Josephine and Elizabeth; and 2 brothers, Milton and Simon Jr. She leaves behind to cherish her precious memories: her husband, Leonard Hooks; their children: Natalie Parks (Gary), Boyd Parks, Avis Wilkerson, Sidney Owens, and Sabrina Love (Charlie Jr.); stepchildren: Mary Crockett (Maurice), Keesha Rivers (Tony), Roonie Hooks, Andre Hooks; 18 grandchildren: Marcus, Tokasha, Jacques, Jacquinta, Dominique, Kayer, Nigel, Shalia, Sidney Jr., Monterian, Jessie, Kamalh, Kourtni, Marisa, Isaiah, Deanna, Andre Jr., and Jordan; 22 grandchildren; and a host of great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends who will miss her dearly.
