Obituary for Lillie Mae Jamison

Lillie Mae Jamison, 94 of Stuart, FL traded time for eternity on Thursday May 28,2015 in the comfort of her bedroom surrounded by the love of her family. Ms. Jamison was born in Blackville, SC to the late Linnie and Alene Matheny, Sr. At a young age Ms. Jamison met and married Mr. Morgan Jamison, Sr. and began there family. Shortly after marrying they moved to Stuart, FL where they settled and continued to raise and grow their family. "Ms. Hun" as she was affectionately known in the community was a member of Pentecostal Church of God in Christ where she served as a former choir member and mother of the church. She thoroughly enjoyed Fishing whenever she was given the opportunity, cooking for family and friends and sharing joyous times with family in particularly her daughter, Maple who was also her caretaker, but Ms. Hun's ultimate joy was singing. She would often be heard singing "Can you tell me what time it is?". Ms. Hun also had a favorite color which was the color of Red. The Red represented the blood of Jesus that covered her life and carried her through MANY dangerous toils and snares over the 94 victorious years of her life. She was preceded in death by her Husband, parents; 2 sons, Leroy and Curtis Jamison;2 Daughters, Margie Rogers and Susie Alene Jamison;3 brothers, Eugene Matheny ,Leroy Matheny & Linnie Matheny, Jr. 2 Sisters, Rozena Mincey & Annie mae Matheny. Those left behind to cherish the memory of this matriarch are her 3 sons, Morgan Jamison, Jr. Gary (Jacqueline) Jamison & Rudolph (letra) Jamison all of Stuart, FL; 7 Daughters, Hattie (Joe) Cotton, Christine (Henry)Howard, Evelyn (Ike)Morris, Nettie Riggins and Gail Gloster all of Philadelphia, PA, Dorothy (James) Jones & Maple Jamison both of Stuart,FL; 1 sister, Delores Ford of Philadelphia,PA and a special sister-in-law, Rosa lee Jamison of Wilmington, NC.;4 dear friends, Ms. Nealie Bell Williams, Ms. Joyce Freeman, Mrs. Dale Lenard & Mrs. Darice Gilbert. 4 generations of grandchildren, a host nieces, nephews, cousins & church family are left to continue her legacy.
