Obituary for Leonard James Johnson

Mr. Leonard James Johnson, 83 of Indiantown, FL passed away at the VA Medical Center in West Palm Beach, FL. He has been a resident of Indiantown since 1971, moving from Tampa, FL. He was born in Colquitt, GA to the parents of the late Freddie Lee Wright, Sr. and the late Mattie Lee Harper. Freddie's primary education was completed in the public schools of Orlando, FL (Orange County). He was employed before retirement as a foreman for the Martin County Roads Department. He will be remembered as a hard working family-man, who was loving and giving. Leonard served in the United States Army and was honorably discharged. Along with his parents, he was also preceded in death by a brother, Freddie Wright, Jr. and a sister, Patricia Glover. He will be lovingly missed by: his devoted wife, Willie Alice Johnson of Indiantown, FL and 2 sisters, Jennifer Powell and Vera Wright, both of Orlando, FL; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, neighbors and friends. Services will be private with burial to follow at the South Florida VA National Cemetery - 6501 South State Road 7 in Lake Worth, FL (time to be announced). Arrangements have been entrusted into the care of Thorne's Mortuary in Stuart, FL.
