Mr. Lee Roy McDuffie, 76 of Stuart, FL died on January 17, 2012 at Hay Madiera Hospice House (Treasure Coast Hospice) in Stuart, Florida. He was born in Whigham, Georgia and moved to Stuart, Florida in 1990 from Los Angeles, CA. During his lifetime he has also resided in Chicago, IL, Monticello, FL, Pahokee, FL and Indiantown, FL. He was educated at Stuart Training School. He served in the United States Marine Corps and received an honorable discharge after serving for over 20 years. Mr. McDuffie was employed before retirement as an inspector for McDonal Douglas Aircraft. He was a member of the Church of Christ in Monticello, FL. He was preceded in death by a wife, Maetta McDuffie and a son, Thomas R. McDuffie and a brother, Carlton Williams. Survivors include: his companion of 20yrs., Odessa Johnson of Stuart, FL; 1 son, Raymond D. McDuffie; 2 daughters, Cheryl A. McDuffie and Marjorie C. McDuffie; a brother, Willie Joe Williams (Alberta)of Stuart, FL; 3 sisters, Fayterethia Williams, Liller Eathell and Hayra Katrina Nixon (Benny), all of Ft. Pierce, FL; Services: Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 26, 2012 at Thorne's Mortuary Chapel in Stuart, FL from 10am-11am. A celebration of life will begin 11:am with Pastor George Palmer officiating. Burial with full military honors will be at the South Florida VA National Cemetery in Lake Worth, FL.
