Larry W. Howell, 71, of Stuart, FL passed away at Treasure Coast Hospice in Stuart, FL. He has been a resident of Martin County for five years moving from Miami, FL.
He was born in Five Points, Alabama to the parents of the late Willie B. Howell and Maudie Reynolds Howell Taylor. Larry Howell was an educator and earned a Phd in Education.
Larry was the Vice-President of the Martin County NAACP Branch in Stuart, FL and a member of the 10th Street Church of Christ under the leadership of Minister Terry Frizzell also in Stuart.
He leaves precious memories, to be cherish forever in the hearts of: a devoted wife, Martha L Rackley of Stuart, FL; one son, Lawrence R. Howell (Hope) of Hobe Sound, FL; two daughters, Marsha Robbins (Dosswell) of Orlando, FL and LaMarva Clark (Antoine) of Grand Praire, TX; his mother, Maudie Taylor (Antoine) of Lanett, AL;
2 brothers, Willie B. Howell of Birmingham, AL and Dr. Charles Howell (Gail) of Ellicott City, MD); sisters, Margie Amukune of Atlanta, GA, Shirley Blakely (Allison} of Silver Springs, MD, Lucille Barnes of Atlanta, GA, Jessica Turner (Emerson) of Mesa, Arizona and Vicki Jo Sims (Cedric) of Birmingham, AL; grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who will dearly miss him.
Arrangements have been entrusted into the care of Thorne's Mortuary in Stuart, FL.
