Kelvin I. Thompson, Sr., 53 of Fort Pierce, FL died at Lawnwood Regional Medical Center on Sunday, November 07, 2010. He was born in Miami, FL to the parents of the late Henry Smith and the late Rovena Thompson. He lived in Port Salerno, FL since early childhood before moving to Fort Pierce. Kelvin graduated from Martin County High School in the Class of 1976. He worked during his lifetime as a restaurant cook. Survivors include: a son, Kelvin I. Thompson, Jr. of Port Salerno, FL; 2 brothers, Michael Thompson of Port Salerno, FL and Henry Joseph "MeMe" Thompson (Sylvia) of Fort Pierce, FL; and 2 grandsons, Kelvin I. Thompson, III and Malik Thompson of Port Salerno, FL; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Services: Visitation will be held on Friday, November 12, 2010 from 5pm-7pm at Thorne's Mortuary Chapel in Stuart, FL. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, November 13, 2010 - 11am at the chapel with Bishop John A. Thorne, officiating.
