Kawana LaShell Mitchell, 43, of Okeechobee, FL departed this life at Treasure Coast Hospice House in Fort Pierce, FL. She was born in St. Petersburg, FL to the parents of the late Patrick Eugene Patterson and Shirlean Graham Stevens. Kawana attended Harris Elementary School, 16th Street Middle School and graduated from Boca CIAGA High School in St. Petersburg. She moved to Okeechobee from St. Petersburg in 1998 and was a member of First Baptist Church on Deans Court in Okeechobee. Survivors include: her mother, Shirlean Graham Stevens and stepfather, Manford R. Stevens; two sisters, April LaSha Hayles (Reginald) and Crystal LaShaun Royal, all of Okeechobee, FL. Services: A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, January 30, 2010, 11:00am at First Baptist Church in Okeechobee, FL with the Reverend Leroy B. Smith, Pastor/Officiating.
