Karen Elizabeth Owens, 43 of West Palm Beach, FL and formerly of Hobe Sound, FL, passed away at Good Samaritan Hospital in West Palm Beach, FL on March 17, 2012. She was born in Stuart, FL to the parents of the late Willie James Owens and Frances Preston. She was educated in the public schools of Martin County, Florida. Karen was a member of New Allen Temple A.M.E. Church in Hobe Sound and was formerly employed as a certified nurses assistant. Along with her father, she was also preceded in death by: a brother, James Francis Owens and two sisters, Christina and Patricia Cepeda. Survivors include: a daughter, Kaytricia Owens of West Palm Beach, FL; her mother, Frances Preston of Hobe Sound, FL; brother, Jose' Cepeda (Tiffany) of West Palm Beach, FL; sister, Carla Preston of Hobe Sound, FL; 2 grandchildren, Bryan King, Jr. and Mikayla Coleman of West Palm Beach, FL. Services: Visitation will be held on Monday, March 26, 2012 at New Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church in Riviera Beach, FL from 4pm-7pm. A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, March 27, 2012 at New Allen Temple A.M.E. Church in Hobe Sound, FL at 11:00am. Burial will follow at Banner Lake Cemetery.
