Johnny Akins, II, 79 of Fort Pierce, FL passed away at Fort PIerce Health Care. He was born in Uganda, Africa to the parents of Mr. & Mrs. Johnny Akins, Sr. He has resided in Fort Pierce, for 2 years coming from Chicago, IL. During his lifetime he was employed as a painter for the City of Chicago. Johnny will be remembered by his family as a devoted husband and father, who worked very hard so that his family lacked nothing. He was loved by all who knew him. He was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Johnny Akins, III. Survivors include: a son, Francisco Akins of Chicago, IL; and a daughter, Lylina Akins of Las Vegas, NV; 2 grandchildren, Tiara Gross of Chicago IL and Tianna Akins of Las Vegas, NV. Services: Visitation will be held on Friday, March 14, 2015 at Thorne's Mortuary Chapel from 5pm-7pm. Funeral Services are private.
