Obituary for Johnnie Mae Jackson

Johnnie Mae Jackson, 67 of Gifford, FL passed away at Indian River Medical Center on Saturday, October 29, 2016. She was born in Wabasso, FL to the parents of the late Willie Miles, Sr. and the late Luella Ealy. She was educated in the public schools of Indian River County and was employed in the citrus industry. Johnnie was a faithful member of Upper Room Temple in Wabasso, FL. Along with her parents, she was also preceded in death by a grandson, Christopher Wallace and 13 siblings. Remaining behind to cherish her precious memories are: a husband, Charlie Jackson of Gifford, FL; 4 daughters, Johnnie Ruth Miles of Ocala, FL, Sarah Mortimer (Edward), Brizella Mortimer and Xenobia "Shay" Wallace (Terry), all of Vero Beach, FL;  11 grandchildren; 3 sisters, Jerenda Medler of Sebastian, FL, Alberta Shivers and Corine Smith (Blake) of Vero Beach, FL; 3 brothers, Archie Davis, Michael Miles and Marvin Miles, all of Vero Beach, FL; maternal grandmother, Catherine Ealy of Vero Beach, FL; 5 sisters-in-law, Helen Ealy, Gloria Miles, Marcella Jackson, Joyce Ann O'Neal (Alphonso) Essie Mae Stokes; 1 brother-in-law, Russell Jackson (Linda);  and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who will miss her dearly. Services:  Visitation will be held on Friday, November 11, 2016 at the Upper Room Church in Wabasso, FL from 4pm-6pm.  A Homegoing Celebration will be held on Saturday, November 12, 2016 at 1:00pm at the Wabasso Church of God with Elder Joe Jones, Jr., officiating, pastor of the Upper Room Church.  She will await the resurrection at West Wabasso Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted into the care of Thorne's Mortuary in Stuart, FL.
