Mr. Jimmy Lee Jones Jr., 39, a resident of Indiantown, FL, affectionately known as "Champ", passed away peacefully at Martin Memorial Health Systems-North on March 31, 2018. He was born in Stuart, FL to the parents of Nina Singleton and Jimmy Lee Jones Sr. Jimmy was educated in the public schools of Martin County and graduated from South Fork High School in the Class of 1997. He was employed for many years working for the appliance/furniture companies of Jetsons and Buddy’s. Jimmy was featured in one of Buddy’s locally ran commercials while employed with the company. In 2003, Jimmy married his high school sweetheart Latasha Wright and to this union five beautiful children were born. He attended the House of God in Indiantown, FL, before his demise. Jimmy loved to make, play and listen to music. He was very family oriented and was always happy about spending time with his family during family gatherings. He was preceded in death by, his maternal grandparents , Arthur and Eudean Singleton; and Homer Mack; his children , Jimmy Lee Jones, III, Daverne and Laverne Jones; and his sister , Shekila Mungin. Survivors include: his companion , Rebecca Brown; ex-wife and mother of his children , Latasha Wright; his children , Jimarion Jones, Alexia Jones and Malyque K. Keyes; step-children , George Marshall, Jr. and Jortrayvious Marshall; his devoted mother , Nina Singleton; his father , Jimmy Lee Jones, Sr. (Beverly); step-mom , Lorraine Mungin; step-dad , Dudes Joseph (Monica); step-brother , Tyler Joseph; sisters , Amanda Joseph and Taneka Hall; brothers, Ferrall Singleton and Michael Mays (Shakira); step-brother, Tyler Joseph; step-sister , Shekita Mungin, Shelita Mungin and Carrie Moxan; paternal grandmother , Ella Mae Jones; aunts , including a special aunt , Lugena Singleton, Caroline Green, Janice Mays, Dorothy Jones, Diane Taylor and Rosa Adamson; uncles , Arthur Singleton, Robbin Jones, James Jones, and Larry Jones; a host of nieces nephews, cousins and friends including special friends , Steves Holmes, Charles Coats, Carlesta Willis, Montanique King. He will truly be missed and loved by many. Services: Visitation will be held on Friday, April 13, 2018 from 4pm-7pm at Evergreen First Missionary Baptist Church, 14703 SW 169th Avenue in Indiantown, FL 34956. A homegoing celebration will be held on Saturday, April 14, 2018 at the church with Minister R.J. Singleton, officiating eulogist. Burial will follow at Port Mayaca Cemetery in Canal Point, FL.
