Obituary for Jimmy Dale Gibson Sr. Mr.

Mr. Jimmy Dale Gibson Sr., 50 of Palm Beach County passed away at Good Samaritan Hospital on August 19, 2014. He was born in Cedar Bluff, MS to the parents of the late N.C. Cannon and the late Ethel Gibson Johnson on October 24, 1963. Jimmy was educated in the public schools of Clay County, MS including Beasley High School in Pheba, MS. He confessed Christ at an early age at Cedar Bluff First Baptist Church and upon moving to Pheba, MS he united with Hogan Chapel A.M.E. Church. Jimmy later moved to Chicago, IL where he met and married Nina McGraw. Along with his parents, he was also preceded in death by: his brother, Johnny F. Gibson, his sisters, Glenda Belt Smith and Ella Cannon. Left behind to cherish his precious memories are: his wife, Nina Gibson; his daughter, Ariel Gibson and his son, Jimmie Gibson, Jr., all of Lake Worth, FL; 2 stepchildren, Jacquelyn McGraw and Antonio McGraw of West Palm Beach, FL; his brothers: Robert Quinn of Greenwood, MS, James Gibson and Andy Gibson (Kim) of Starkville, MS, Larry Gibson and Jimmie Jones of Maben, MS, George Cannon of Chicago, IL and Robert Cannon of West Point, MS; sisters: Mildred Gibson of Chicago, IL, Barbara (Leon) Harris, Marilyn Jimerson, Rosie Jones (Jerry), Mary Jones (Charles), Margaret Guyton (Bruce), Annie Heard (Johnny), all of Maben, MS, Sandra Ellis of Starkville, MS, Betty Cannon of Cedar Bluff, MS, and Betty Cannon of Cedar Bluff, MS; a special friend, Robin Littlejohn and three special sisters-in-law; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who will miss him dearly. Services: A celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, August 28, 2014 in Cedar Bluff, MS at Cedar Bluff First Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Cedar Bluff Cemetery. Local arrangements have been entrusted into the care of Thorne's Mortuary in Stuart, FL and West Memorial Funeral Home in Starkville, MS.
